Eye and skin health
Protect your eyes and your skin
Spending your days in front of a screen? Discovering unwanted ageing effects on your skin and eyes? Sensitive to sunburn?
Natural protection can help to maintain the health of your eyes and skin.
The eyes are vulnerable to oxidation. Intensive use of screens, lack of outdoor activity, combined with physiological ageing can lead to limiting ophthalmic pathologies. One example is myopia or the syndrome of the artificial vision whose symptoms are: dry eyes, eye fatigue, headaches and blurred vision. The ageing of the eyes can also result in the appearance of degenerative diseases such as age-related macular degeneration (AMD) or cataract, a visual defect amplified and accelerated by UV exposure.
As for our skin, it is the mirror of our general state of health and reveals our emotions. However, it is regularly subjected to many natural and chemical aggressions such as cuts, knocks, household products, cosmetics… all which oxidize skin tissue. Over time, its hydration and elasticity are diminished, leaving visible marks such as wrinkles, fine lines and brown spots.
Algae – a natural and effective solution to protect the eyes and skin
Astaxanthin to limit eye fatigue and the appearance of AMD, and to prevent aging of the skin
Natural astaxanthin is a red pigment from the algae called Haematoccocus pluvialis, which has the ability to penetrate the meninges and retina through the bloodstream, and thus to protect and strengthen our body from the inside. This way it protects the eyes as an antioxidant, limiting general eye fatigue.
It also limits the syndrome of artificial vision which can be caused by too much use of screens, since astaxanthin’s action on free radicals limits the appearance of AMD and glaucoma.
Natural Astaxanthin also helps protect the skin. In combination with a suitable sun protection, it protects the skin against sunburn. Astaxanthin also increases the skin’s moisture and elasticity and can be used as a preventive or curative treatment for signs of skin ageing.
Spirulina for a contribution of vitamins and minerals essential for healthy skin
Thanks to its richness in selenium and vitamin E, spirulina provides micronutrients essential for strong skin health. Spirulina improves the skin in case of acne for example.
Zinc, also provided by Spirulina, plays a role in limiting inflammation, making it possible to limit the visible signs such as redness and swelling.
Omega 3 DHA seaweed for the health of skin and eyes
Omega 3 which is rich in docosahexaenoic acid, is essential for the proper eye functioning and skin quality. Omega 3s prevent the risk of AMD as well as dry eyes. As for skin, they promote hydration, suppleness and elasticity of the skin.
