PROJECT: CROSSING SWITZERLAND BY DIEGO PAZOS
Crossing Switzerland is Diego Pazos’s big project. Deeply committed to environmental causes, the Lausanne native wants to open up new routes. By crossing Switzerland from east to west, he hopes to inspire environmentally friendly sport in the trail-running world. He will attempt to set a reference time for this new route.

THE FORWARD PROJECT BY MATT SCHAER
This winter, Matt Schaer will take a break from his Master’s in Environmental Sciences at EPFL (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne) to shine a spotlight on global warming. A lifelong rider, he wants to show through his Forward project that his sport can be practised in an environmentally friendly way. He plans to film top-level snowboarding footage over an entire winter while keeping the associated carbon footprint to an absolute minimum. No helicopters, snowmobiles or private cars!

THE SURFRIDER FOUNDATION PROJECT
This association runs many projects to protect and showcase oceans, lakes and coastlines. Founded in 1990, the NGO takes a long-term approach by promoting education for all. With innovative tools (an app for zero-waste living, a free course about the ocean…), Surfrider Foundation is counting on everyone to take action and get involved in protecting the ocean and the coastline.
